Description

Houghton Cabernet Sauvignon is a medium bodied wine displaying distinctive varietal characteristics of blackcurrant, bay leaf and plummy fruits. Supple tannins and hints of oak provide a savoury dry finish. Houghton was founded in 1836 by a syndicate of three British Army Officers and named after the most senior of the three-Lieutenant Colonel Richmond Houghton. Throughout its history, Houghton has built an enviable reputation shaping the Western Australian winemaking landscape.

Tasting Notes

The Houghton Cabernet Sauvignon is an excellent example of Western Australian Cabernet displaying typical bay leaf, blackcurrant, dark red fruits, and a touch of oak derived spice
