The grapes of Tempranillo planted on sandy soils in the traditional “vaso” system were hand-harvested and fermented in stainless steel tanks for 15 days at temperatures below 27ºC/80ºF , a small proportion of the wine was aged for 12 months mainly in French oak barrels and also American oak.
