You might not automatically think of WA when you see the grape Tempranillo, but Aylesbury Estate will likely change your mind for the better.
Excellent aspect and exposure ensure that the grapes for this wine arrive with perfect ripeness and still-vibrant acid. Several months in French oak and more than a year in bottle have softened the wine, yet it still seems incredibly fresh and youthful.
An array of aromas and flavours greet you warmly, such as blackberry, dark cherry, cola, cinnamon and vanilla. The palate is positively alive while the tannins give some grip without being too overbearing. This is incredibly good value.
